10 places in Michigan to go on spring break if you’re stuck at home
Escape Room: While locked in a room, you and your friends have 60 minutes to solve clues to get a way out. It is eight minutes (4 miles) away and the price is $27 per person.
Zap Zone: At Zap Zone you can play mini-golf and laser tag for $8 per person. Zap Zone is nine minutes (3.9 miles) away.
Suburban Ice Arena: There is public skating from April 1-8 starting at 12:45-2:05 p.m. on the weekdays and on the weekends it’s 2:45- 4:35 p.m. The price is, $5 for admission and skates are $2. It’s 14 minutes (8 miles) away.
Dave and Busters: Dave and Busters is a restaurant and arcade for all ages. On Wednesdays prices are half off. It’s 10 minutes (5 miles) away from Shelby Township.
HUB Stadium: Bombowling (fowling) is a game where participants throw a football at bowling pins. The HUB stadium, is 24 minutes (16.3 miles) away located in Auburn Hills. The price is $80 per hour you play and you have to make reservation seven days in advance to play.
Detroit Institute of Arts: Check out the DIA for a day of art and architecture. The museum is 35 min (28.8 miles) away from Shelby Township. Residents in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb admission is free.
Heidlberg Project: This project is an outdoor art project in Detroit. For $100 is a small group with 10 or less people for a tour. Must schedule two weeks in advance. It’s 40 minutes (29.9 miles) away.
Pistons and Red Wings games: and There are two upcoming Pistons games on 4/4 and 4/6. The Red Wings games are on 3/31, 4/5, and 4/7. Games are at the Little Caesars Arena which is 42 min (30.6 miles) away; cheapest ticket starts at $14 for the Pistons and $120 for the Red Wings can be bought at www.ticketmaster.com.
All American Pie: The restaurant and arcade is located in Warren and is 28 minutes (17 miles) away from Shelby Township. They have an all you can eat pizza buffet and arcade games.
