Alex Guido plays varsity for the first time
Q: Were you excited that you made varsity this year and did you see it coming?
A: He asked me to play Varsity last year, but since soccer is so competitive, especially for the girls, I chose to stay JV for one for year. I was expecting it this year.
Q: How long have you been playing soccer and do you still enjoy it?
A: I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I still love playing it, I just get a rush every time I go onto the field.
Q: Do you plan on playing in college?
A: Right now, yes. But it all depends on how hard my college schedule is. I hope it is not too much where I have to quit soccer though because I love it.
Q: Are you excited for varsity this year?
A: Yes, one of my best friends is on varsity also so that will be fun. I would rather work really hard on varsity and not play rather than not improve my skills somewhere else
Q: Any advice for future students that want to play varsity soccer as a junior?
A: It really is a lot of fun. Yes, it is a lot of work. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything and you should really do it, especially if you want to play in college.
