Connor Mcdill personality profile
Dedication.
For graduated Ike student Connor Mcdill, dedication is the reason he’s doing what he loves every day.
Dedication is the reason he got a scholarship to Adrian College for wrestling.
Dedication is the reason he was a two time Nuway National champion, placed first in counties two different times and won first at an all league competition twice.
“I’m so dedicated because I’ve put so many hours in. I’ve worked so hard to be where I am and because I can only keep getting better,”McDill said.
In high school, Connor pushed himself in his schooling and on the [wrestling] mat. He practiced every weekday during the season and wrestled in weekly competitions. He also worked out all year and never stopped practicing so we would never lose his edge.
“I worked harder than the other athletes and still do now here at Adrian,” McDill said. “I put myself in uncomfortable situations at practice or in workouts so I’m used to it during competitions, and I can push my opponent until they break.”
Wrestling has always been a part of Connor’s life and since high school, he has made plans to keep wrestling a major part of his life. His dream is to one day coach wrestling at a college level. In the meantime, Connor started taking classes in order to major in athletic training.
“I like that it teaches me good values and morals in life,” McDill said. “Meeting so many great people through the sport is the best part about it besides winning.”
