Varsity Bowling’s fab five
Fifteen positions are available for the Girl’s Bowling team; however, the team currently consists of five bowlers, but with two matches left in the season, they are geared for one of the most successful seasons in the history of the team.
“We’ve maintained a pretty strong team spirit even though there’s only five of us and we don’t have substitutes so if we bowl bad, we have to dig ourselves out and it’s all on us,” senior Haley Zynda said.
Senior Carly Schiner and Zynda have both bowled a perfect “300” this season and the team overall has topped rival Dakota twice and will finish the season as co-champs of their division which is a feat the team has not accomplished in years.
“I’m proud of what these five dedicated girls have accomplished,” Coach Michael Pollack said.
The team will bowl their last two matches over the weekend of Feb. 4.
