Competing at their last match before regionals, the women’s varsity golf team was honored with the MAC sportsmanship award and two seniors earned honorable mentions in the MAC conference.

“It felt really good to achieve this award, even though we didn’t win the MAC division, because it shows that we were good enough to get mentioned,” senior golfer Sam Shea said.

Senior golfers Danielle Linska and Shea came together at the end of their final season to achieve the honorable mentions. The two were partners on the golf team since their freshmen year.

“Being partners with Sam was honestly a great experience and I wouldn’t change it for the world,” Linska said. “Getting this award was also a blessing, because it really shows that all of our hard work paid off.”
