Carefully applying paint, senior Alessandra Maiorano depicts the various areas of the brain in the AP Psychology room. “I wanted something that was colorful and unique for my senior project and I’m thankful Mrs.Hallam gave me this fun canvas,” Maiorano said.

The Psychoology room will now have a dash of art thanks to the work of senior Alessandra Maiorano.

“I’m excited that something I created will remain in the school, even after I’ve graduated,” Maiorano said.

Maiorano is currently constructing a mural in that depicts the various parts of the brain as a part of her senior project in AP Psychology. Her project involved her sketching an original design, projecting it on the wall, and then painting according to her outline.

“It’s beautiful and will be a great teaching tool for future classes,” AP Psychology teacher Lisa Hallam said.

Maiorano previously painted the senior hand wall and plans to continue art and fashion design at Columbia College Chicago in the fall.
