Dancer’s Edge Studio wins gold
Local dance studio, Dancer’s Edge Studio, made the United States proud at The Dance Worlds in Orlando, Florida from April 25th to April 28th.
“Teams from Japan, China, Sweden, and all over the world were competing,” senior Lilly Smiscik said. “It was a little intimidating but very exciting to go up against some of the best dance teams in the world.”
Dancer’s Edge Studio brought home two gold medals in senior jazz and pom, as well as one bronze medal in the college division of international jazz. The competition was fierce with at least 30 teams in each division and up to as many as 50.
“I’m so proud of the way we performed at Worlds,” senior Jordyn Schmid said. “It’s the best feeling in the world knowing that all of our hard work and late nights at the studio paid off.”
