Choir wins awards at Disney World
Not only does choir attend the world “where dreams come true”, but they take away a Golden Mickey after competing at Festival Disney.
“They prepared separately in their own choir classes,” Choir Director Julia Holt said. “But they came together to practice, and they won the competition.”
All three choirs flew to Disney World to compete in the tenth annual Festival Disney from May 1-May 4. While performing, judges graded the choirs on 5 categories using 100 point score sheets. The choir competing averaged a 95.3, the best score at the competition. This score won them the Golden Mickey, an award given to the choir with the highest score.
“It’s really neat that we can have a random group of kids from all three choirs join to create a performance that won.” said Holt.
