Staff members say goodbye

After teaching, counseling and coaching for 25 years, counselor James Allen closed his office doors on March 31.
“I have worked with Mr. Allen for four years, but I have known him for 10,” counselor JP Stice said. “He is really mellow and laid back and I’m going to miss how positive he is.”
Allen taught welding and drafting at the school. He also coached Men’s and Women’s Track, Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive, and Softball. Allen spent the past five years as a counselor.
“I liked counseling, but I liked teaching better. I was more involved with the students on a learning and teaching aspect.” Allen said
As Allen packed up his office, he looks forward to spending time with his wife who currently lives out-of-state.
“I am going to miss a lot of friends here,” Allen said. “There is no job I can think of that I will laugh every day.”
