Mr.Ike Pageant
Walking out on to the stage, strutting their stuff and entertaining the crowd, seven senior boys will be competing in the Mr.Ike competition this week.
Mr.Ike is a beauty pageant and talent show run by Senior Class President Francesca Cusmano and Coordinating Heads, Marissa DeLang and Lucas Nelson.
“I am most looking forward to the talent part of the competition, I think I will have the most fun with it,” senior Lorenzo Santavicco said. “I will probably be doing a president rap.”
The pageant will have the four categories of Mr.Ike, Mr.talented, Mr.Charisma, and Mr.Charity. Mr.Ike is an annual event, and has run for four consecutive years. The contestants are as follows: Nick Wodtke, Christian Kennedy, Joe Shkoukani, Vincenzo Vultaggio, Mike Kripl, Lorenzo Santavicco and Tyler Francis.
“I wanted to compete in Mr.Ike because I wanted to represent some of the people who weren’t represented in our organization that runs the pageant, especially student council,” Santavicco said. “There are some of the guys that are involved in a lot of stuff in student council, but they didn’t want to step up so I decided this was something I wanted to do.”
Mr.Ike will be hosted on Thursday, March 24th from 7-9 p.m. in the PAC. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at lunches during the week.
