The Spanish Club is gathering all the world culture clubs to decorate the world language department’s Christmas tree during a cookie exchange.
“To know that we have so many cultures to celebrate, it means a lot,” Spanish club advisor Monica Klesko said.
The Christmas tree decorating and cookie exchange are happening on Wednesday, Dec. 11 in the commons. The Spanish, Italian, French, German and Albanian clubs are all bringing in cultural cookies for others to get a taste of the holidays in different countries. Additionally, students are going to be working together to create decorations and ornaments to decorate the World Language department’s Christmas tree.
“I am excited about it because I like to share the Spanish culture, and I like to learn about different cultures,” senior Cameron Seymour said.
New clubs such as the Albanian and Italian clubs are joining this year, making the cookie exchange and Christmas tree decorating more exciting. The new clubs and cultures added set this event apart from previous years.
“I like to collaborate with other cultures,” Seymour said. “And even make an international tree with them.”
