From six members to 15, the Arts and Crafts Club continues flourishing
“It’s a great way to meet people. It is something that if a person thinks they’re not crafty, but they can do without any judgment,” arts and crafts club sponsor Connie Wakefield said.
The first Arts and Crafts Club meeting was on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in room 415. The club meets once a month after school from 2:15 p.m. -3:15 p.m. The members along with president senior Ava Gauthier took a vote for what crafts they will do for the rest of the year. For those wanting to participate, they can join the club’s Remind and donate 25 dollars for supplies.
“There’s no judgment on how well something turns out or not, and it gives people a different opportunity to learn new skills,” Wakefield said.
At no point in the year are new members rejected. Students do not face a penalty for missing a meeting and are welcome to come and go as they please.
“It is a non-stressful, non-committal club,” Gauthier said. “Everyone can join and all the meetings are optional.”
