As the dance team competition season approaches emotions are high.
“I am most looking forward to competing with my team and bonding with each other through the grind of the season and the tuff practices leading up to competition. It bonds us closer as a team while making us stronger dancers,” senior Lily Giacobbe said.
It’s now time for their competition season where they will compete against other high schools in hopes of making it to nationals. The team placed second for jazz and fourth for hip hop at Walled Lake Northern high school.
“We’re really focusing and have been practicing trying our best and giving it all we got,” sophomore Cesarina Gasperoni said.
As competition season progresses, coach Cristina D’aristotile looks forward to making final memories with the seniors on her team.
“I have known all of them for a long time and have such a special bond with each of them. I think what I will miss most is the energy that they bring and watching them grow not only as dancers but as people every day,” she said.
