As Halloween comes to a close, woodshop and art students create a haunted house to collect money for the Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation.
“It was so funny. I loved it. It was so satisfying,” senior Isabella Stoker said.
The haunted house took place in the woodshop room on Halloween during all lunches. Each participant paid one dollar to walk through which was then donated to the foundation.
“Everything was on time and easy, so it’s pretty good,” senior Gabriel Longthorne said.
The Cassie Hines Foundation is an organization that helps support young adults as they go through cancer treatment. It was founded by the parents of Cassie Hines, a former student who passed from cancer.
“Obviously, it’s near and dear to my heart knowing the Hines family,” said woodshop teacher Ryan deCardanes. “Also I just think it’s great support for young people.”
