After talking to a Pet Trainer at the Career Expo, Senior Elizabeth Markovic pets one of the trained animals.

Hundreds of students from across the district had the chance to speak with over 100 career representatives in one day at this year’s Career Expo.

“This is a great chance for students to get an idea of what they would like to do in their future,” Senior Elizabeth Markovic said.

The 2014 Utica Community Schools Career Expo was held at Eisenhower on Thursday, March 20, in the commons and library. The Expo brought career representatives from six different pathways: Arts and Communications, Business Management marketing and Technology, Engineering/Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, Health Sciences, Human Services and Natural Resources and Agriscience. The event was open to all UCS students, parents and staff.

“It was a unique experience,” senior Elizabeth Markovic said. “I had the opportunity to learn and ask questions about careers I never knew about.”
