Embracing change. Mysliu adapts to change when she moves with her family to America. After her family decided to make the big move Mysliu had to find ways to adjust to a new school atmosphere. The school where she started here at first was not a good fit for her and it made her feel very uncertain about living here, after 3 years I see Marina doing very well in all life aspects,’’ Marinas mother Elona Mysliu said.

Leaving behind comfort and facing struggles

After winning first place for both the jazz and pom category, junior Aubrey Bowen celebrates her win with the junior varsity team. “She [Bowen] loves the team, and involves herself in lots of team bonding events,” Bowen’s Mom, Mellisa Mulville-Bowen said. Occasionally, Bowen hosted the teams bonding events and offered anything possible for her teams success.

Take a picture, itll last longer. Posing for game day, senior Ivana Petrevski’s high school dance comes to a close. Petrevski plans to dance in college.

Curious kindergarteners. Helping to teach a class, senior Gabrielle Carnes reads a story to the kids. She got to work with her former elementary school teacher through her future educators class. “I love being able to break away from all the stress of the day and go see the kids,” Carnes said. “I know that when I go to placement theyre all excited to see me.”

Sporty dancers. Over the years, the debate over dance being a sport has always been split down the middle. In reality, most sports will never possess the athletic abilities of a dancer.

Inhale, exhale. Teens are leaving behind the outdoors to sit on a couch all day. Mental and physical health has shown a decline in kids because of the amount of time they spend isolated.

Over captured. Taylor Swift has taken over the limelight everywhere, not just on stage. But her constant presence on television during the NFL season left a bitter taste in many peoples mouths.

Stop, you’re losing me

Aim for greatness. With a low GPA requirement for student-athletes, it pushes them to do the bare minimum. If the school raised the GPA requirement; it would enforce a try-hard attitude onto athletes.

Athletes and academics

Smiling with excitement I crossed the finish line of my first half marathon in Disney World. I finished in two hours and four minutes.
