Interactive class games, flying broomsticks and teachers dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters was all planned out by Senior Class President Francesca Cusumano.

“We had troubles finding such weird props: flying monkeys, broomsticks, hay bales. It wasn’t easy finding people willing to donate them,” Cusumano said.

Along with the problem of obtaining these unique props, Cusumano also faced the struggle of timing the event out.

“The night before we had all the Student Council kids stay after and run through the games three or four times so it would all run smoothly,” Cusumano said.

After many hours of preparation and hard work, the homecoming pep assembly was successfully completed on time with all necessary props.

“It was a very difficult process,” Cusumano said, “but in the end, we did it.”
