Students filled the students section, wearing all black. “I was really excited for this game because it’s my senior year and my last homecoming game in my high school career,” senior Andrew Jaracz said. Jaracz plans to attend future games.

A group formed a line eagerly awaiting to buy their tickets, listening to the roaring excitement of the crowd inside.

“I had to wait in line for a long time,” senior Mikayla Graham said. “But I knew it would be worth it.”

While countless students and parents stood outside the gates, inside, the bleachers were already packed. The  audience sat on the edge of their seats waiting for the kickoff at 7:00 p.m.

“I was really excited for this game because it’s my senior year and my last homecoming game in my high school career,” senior Andrew Jaracz said.

The scoreboard read 24-7, with Dakota’s team in the lead during the top of the third quarter, but the students spirits didn’t diminish.

“I love watching the game,” senior Adam Surdu said. “The energy of the crowd gets me really hyped and more into the game.”

The game ended at a score of 47-21, leading the Eagles to an unfortunate defeat.

“Even though I’m not on the team, the loss was a loss for everyone who came to support,” senior Julia Simonds said. “However, I still consider it a win because we all came together in the end.”
