Five Nights at Freddie’s review

Five Nights at Freddie’s is a survival based horror game with a unique twist on the App Store.

The game’s plot involves the main character taking a job as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza house from the hours of 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. The main character must then survive five nights from four animatronic robots dressed in animal costumes that wander about the building.

The most interesting feature about this game is that instead of running and hiding with the goal of leaving in mind, the player cannot leave the security room in which they are located. Despite this major change in style, the game plays rather well with controls that work very well with the players limited tools on an iPhone or iPad.

The player’s only way of protecting themselves is using the cameras, lights outside the room and two security doors. The doors, cameras and lights all use some of the very precious power however and once it’s all gone it becomes a very bad night.

The game isn’t as scary as it is challenging with it’s unique style of play and your detachment and helplessness as well as conserving power. The scares that the game has are exciting the first few times yet loses much of their shock factor after playing the game for a while.

The game also doesn’t have very much replay value aside from increasing the difficulties of the animatronics to their highest level.

The game is still great and with it’s very low price of 2.99$ is a great deal for some even greater scares this October.
