Thespians officially inducted

This Tuesday, in the PAC, 32 students were inducted into troupe 3901 of the International Thespian Society.

“I am honestly so honored to be part of this community,” junior Isabella Stenz said. “I have made some really great friends through theatre and now I can carry this title (International Thespian) for the rest of my life.”

The International Thespian Society which catalogs actors across the entire country and holds 1.2 million students includes famous alumni such as Tom Hanks and Val Kilmer, according to the Organization of School Theater.

In order to be inducted, students must participate in some way in both the musical and the play every year while at high school and serve a total of 100 hours on stage.

“I am so proud of all my students who have came so far,” theater director Dave Springer said. “These kids all worked very hard to reach this accomplishment and I hope their passion for the theatre continues to grow.”
