StuCo plans for memory board

Talent. Many have it, but few broadcast it.

Student Council plans to recognize students’ talents by creating a wall display called, “We’re kind of a big deal.”

“We’re kind of a big deal,” is about recognizing everyone in this school for anything that’s special to them, or anything they do that’s special,” senior student council member Alex Cole said.

Named after this year’s school theme, “We’re kind of a big deal,” the goal is to make students proud to be an Eagle and celebrate everyone’s talents. Students and staff members can submit photos or articles to Student Council which showcase talents from grades, sports and clubs, to outside school accomplishments.

Over time, the features will grow and turn into a board of school memories. By the end of the school year, the board will graduate to an enormous collection of features, full of the school’s greatest moments and triumphs.

“Sometimes people will go unnoticed about stuff that they do, and it’s important to them and how they’re developing,” junior student council member Anna Davies said. “Having their skills and talent being highlighted is pretty awesome.”
